L: Listening

What most young people need …. is a really good listening to.

Listening, really listening, is a vital skill to develop when working with young people. In listening we get to understand what a young person is saying, and why. It also prevent us swinging into adult assumptions and what we see as answers.
Listening opens us trust, leads to understanding and can be a healing thing in of itself.
