1984 and All That

This week saw the 30th anniversary of the date of THE Saturday detention at Shermer High, where the Breakfast Club formed, talked and became an Iconic teenage film. I love this film.
Katie Rogers writing in the Guardian builds on this anniversary to note what an important year 1984 was for film, and what a rich mine of nostalgia. You don’t have to tunnel very far to unearth rich seams of cinematography; the likes of Ghost Busters, Footloose, Terminator and Karate Kid (another great teen movie). 1984!!! *sighs affectionately* nostalgia eh! and did I mention, I was there
The article is here, I love the “remake risk” anaylsis!
