Longevity of tradition and ticketage

There are s the some traditions that are too good to lose!
When I was a teenager I never used to take my Greenbelt ticket off my wrist when the event finished waiting instead for this umbilical connection back to the festival to drop off of its own accord some days or even weeks later. Needless to say this is a tradition that remains to this day despite me now being forty odd years old.The wrist bands however are now rather more resilient being made out of plastic rather that the waxy paper of the 80’s and do not easily give up. Hence, four months on I am still sporting my wrist band and my allegiance to Greenbeltism. Today MAY be the day I admit defeat and surgically remove it?
