Share of Die

Just finished reading a great book, Share or Die. It's a brilliant series of true stories that explores the experience of some (American) Gen Yers in the time after leaving university and emerging into an economic situation low on jobs and opportunities. Their resilience, communal existence, and experiments in a new way of living, are inspiring. They see that the 'old order' no longer works but see clearly that the country is incapable of thinking outside of it's 'old order' model. Many of the stories represent a modelling of the change they want to see through lifestyle, choice and activism.

Loved this book and it definitely presents some inspiring challenge to us as the church, particularly when the church models, lives and is populated by an affluence that is out of reach of the emerging generation.

I bought the book but it might be possible to get a free copy here
