Quench have a gig in Oxford coming up and Mark Cox has send me a load of info (click continue reading), October 3rd!
Hey Oxford pals,
As Thin Lizzy once sang: "The boys are back in town!" My band Quench have just played mainstage Greenbelt with Fightstar and MXPX and we've just released a KILLER new EP on iTunes, which is getting fantastic reviews and now we're back in Oxford. It's sure good to be back!
We're doing a live show at Oxford's prestigious Jericho Tavern, on FRIDAY 3RD OCTOBER, where not so long ago, Radiohead and Supergrass graced the stage. Dispite a 3 month waiting list to play there, they offered us a headline slot straight away - this is a real honour and we're going to step up to the challenge and rock the place - all we need now is YOU! Please come along and support four Christian guys with a passion to make real music about real issues and take it outside the church and into the World. You can add it as a Facebook calendar event and use it to invite your friends.
This is the perfect opportunity to bring your mates from work / college etc and as it's an 18+ venue, you can enjoy a drink and some loud music without it feeling like a youth event! ;-) Whether or not you're a huge rock fan, it will be an entertaining show and there are 3 other bands playing, who range from indie to electronica. If you want a sneaky peek at a recent live Quench gig (to the soundtrack to one of our new songs) check out the YouTube video for "Chameleon".
So please support the Quench gig at the Jericho Tavern, OXFORD (£5 on the door - and you MUST tell the door staff that you're there to see Quench) on Friday 3rd October. I've also attached a flier, which has times, prices and other details.
If you want some more info on Quench, please visit our myspace page, which contains music, videos etc or our Facebook Page where you can sign up to 'become a fan'. There are also other links available at www.quenchuk.com. Quench are one of the UK's premier Christian rock bands, having headlined at Soul Survivor, Greenbelt, New Wine, Spring Harvest etc and our debut album won the best UK Gospel album of 2003. The new EP "Reality Radio" is out now on iTunes and was produced by Joe Gibb (Funeral For A Friend, Jane's Addiction, Brigade etc). Quench's sound is somewhere between Foo Fighters, Fall Out Boy and 30 Seconds To Mars....oh, and 5ive.....just kidding.

hey,
I was wandering if you could pass on a message to Jamie. My name is Esther and I used to be in the Worship team with him in St Banrnabus in cheltenham. I hadnt seen him for years but was recently in town and saw a very slender looking Jamie. Anyways...at the time I told him I was going for a job as a youth worker for some churches in Oxfordshire and I am now the 'Benefice youth worker for Chipping Norton area'.
I would love to hear from him and its great you are playing in the area, I will try to get some mates along.
Sorry if this was long winded...
thanks alot,
esther Bacon [I am sorry for bad grammer and spelling its a dyslexic quality of mine]
