Tessellation for the congregation
A few years ago there was a rather brilliant book entiled "101 things to do during a dull sermon!' If it's still available you should get a copy as I consider it to be a spiritual classic. The video below probably won't fit into the 'to do in the sermon slot' especially as I think the activity would need to be directed from the pulpit. It did however make me laugh and this in itself is a good thing and (in a sermon stylee), maybe this will be your experience too!

fantastic - except it is working the wrong way round . . . people normally move to the back rather than race up to the front, can you play it backwards to make it more realistic?
